Player Restart

i was wondering how i can have the player fall off an edge and get destroyed but respawn back at a certain point can anyone help

Perhaps you could not literally destroy it, and then just place it at the "certain point" as required.

If you want to see a specific animation when the character dies, then maybe invoke the 'destroy' animation manually or place the 'destroy' animation in another object and place it where the character died.

thats not exactly what i mean i mean i want him to restart and not just fall and get stuck down at the bottom of the screen
