    Shader Request: Selective Blur

    Hi guys--

    Is it possible to make a blur effect pixel shader that reads from a b+w map, in the same way that the Lens object does? In other words, if you made an active object that filled the window, set this shader on, and then you created a b+w map consisting of a black gradient circle on a white background where "white" is blurred and "black" is not, the in-game result would be a progressive blurring starting from the edges and melting away to no-blurring in the center.

    It would be pretty cool for general atmospheric effects--anyone with knowledge in editing shaders interested in tackling this?

    Just threw this together, hope it helps.
    The blur doesn't look very good; I will release a set of shaders within the next weeks or months that will include a nicer version of this.

    I will forever be amazed by your ability to "throw something" like this together. This is great, exactly what I meant, and I look forward to your next set of shaders.
