How to get specific X and Y value of colission

Yeah, I am messing up with colors, I wanted to change form blue to red, in the specific area that the active is "touching" another, by using replace color at x and y, I could easily change color by colision.

But how to get those values?

    thanks in advance

p.s= no extension please, this is a flash project.

There is no "Replace color at (X,Y)". Sorry.

    I think it exists.

Replace color-> Calculation -> Get RGB at

    RGBAt( "Active 5", >Enter X coordinate<, >Enter Y coordinate<)

There's and I did some tests, it does works.

I could change multiple dots in the same object by changing X and Y coordinates for replacing, since the object had differente collors in all his dots.

The problem here is the XY colision data.

OK, so every pixel of the object is a different color? That can work, I guess.

But the problem is, a collision can happen with multiple pixels. What exactly do you want?

    Forget it.
Unless your objects are all circles or something, it's not going to happen.

If you explain what you actually need it for, then maybe someone can suggest an alternative.

Re: How to get specific X and Y value of colission

Ok, so I am actually studyng how to change colors freely, in dorder to build myself a engine based only on color changing.

Here is my mfa on my other test.

This test used thousands of black dots that would change color randomly, and its scale is based on color value /100.

But of corse, this makes the game too slow.

I am tryng to have the same effect (minus the resizing), by somehow, making all the dots to change color randomly and when coliding with something, but by using only one active for everything.

I can't even tell what it is supposed to be, but whatever it is it is amazing!! ude, you have way too much time on your hands for programming all of the behavios for every one of those objects!

Re: How to get specific X and Y value of colission

    O thanks a lot ^^'

But actually I just cloned form one and they all had different IDs (thank god)

But thanks for the compliment ^^

Too bad that this scale effect is impossible... maybe im HWA mode, but it wouldnt work for flash.

Now I am looking for a turn around.

I will take your example and try and see what I can do to reduce the lag

EDIT: Well, I both broke it and made it slower. I really have no idea where you are going with this, but I'd recommend the Surface object being developed by Looki.

Thanks a lot, I will look for that.

Actually I don't know exactly what I am looking for, just experimenting some original effects.
