    Moving between areas

    Hello all,

What's the best way to have a game that transitions between zones, kinda like Zelda, but this would only be a side scroller not up and down as well. Thanks!

    Re: Moving between areas

you could make an active object at the point where you want the zone to end and use a new frame for your next one. Run an event like this:

Active(being your character) Collides with Active2(rename it to whatever,Zone Sensor, whatever you want) and right click on the chessboard icon then "Next Frame". Doing that will change from one frame to the next in order when you collide with that object. and if you are going with the zelda route of being able to go back and for between frames, then make a sensor at the start of the new one where you enter the screen and do the same event:

"Active" Collides with Active2, right click the chessboard(storyboard) and click on Jump to Frame, then just put the previous frame number. for example, for you're second section, you want to go back, so type "1" on jump to frame. Hope this helps!

Cool, that's easy enough, but how I get my "Active" player to appear on the right of the screen when he goes back a frame as opposed to the left of the screen where he started originally?
