    More Questions (read)

    ( Okay.. I feel like I'm asking too much. But note that I have been searching for these questions in the past few days but I couldn't come across a solution. )

    Hey guys. I have several questions, I'm sorry if I've been asking too much, but I appreciate the help I get here. But anyway here are my questions.

    - Is there a shooting delay?
    e.g. ) I want to make some kind of sniper rifle that requires bolt action? Something like that. But all I'm asking for is how can I make it so it's delayed after I launch/shoot an object for several seconds before firing again..
    My event so far is...
    Pressing the "F" key > Launch object at 100 speed, etc.
    I don't want to make it a repeat, I just want to know how to delay the shooting when using a single press on the keyboard.
    - In-game Messages
    Well in my game, I will be having several characters talking to the player giving him/her tips. Is there an easy way to display messages at the top right corner of your screen with an icon with the character of whom is talking? Thanks.
    - Enemy Movement
    So for the past years in my games, I've made it so that the enemy follows the player by doing this event:
    Always ] Look in the direction of "player" + the enemy's movement is a bouncing ball so it continuously walks.
    What if the player is in between a dense object and the enemy is right there and it is colliding with the wall. How can I make it so that the enemy knows how to reach the player without running into walls?

    1) Under the special object there's a "Restrict" condition that will delay the event.

    2) You'll have to make it with a string object and an active yourself

    3) Take a look at the pathfinding extensions. There are two that can be found in one of the bonus packs and maybe on Neatwares. Look on the toolbars to the right.
