If you want to code your own fade-out transitions, this might be able to help you.
This demonstrates how you can use "Keep display from previous frame" property setting to make your own custom transitions with any effect you'd like. This one shows a circle centering in on a specific object until the frame is black.
Using this method you can have multiple fade-out transitions for your frame. Just jump to the frame with the custom transition that you want. If it is a death-effect or a winning shiny blur effect thing, you can now choose through your events which one it should be.
This only works for fade-out transitions though.
Note: Doesn't work with HWA!
