How do I send an email via mmf2? thanks!

Here's the scenario: Player goes online and plays a vitalized game on his browser. Player looses. A notification (player lost or player wins) is sent to developer's email (that would be my email).
So far I'm telling players to send me an email with the winning code they get from the game, so I can pay them their prize. It would be nice if this could be done automatically in mmf2. What paypal support? if not then it's ok.
What do I need? get object + php? smpt program example? do you have a link for a tutorial or an example for this? thanks!

Well, you'd have to use an object that is Vitalized... and sadly people seem to be giving up on Vitalize even though its so much better than flash.

I agree LB, Vitalize is better than flash for mmf2. Can your file sender send a text file from within the vitalized app? in this text file I will write that the player has won.

Considering that Lacewing is not vitalized, no. But I am sure you can pull a stunt with a simple hack. The Active Picture Object can load images off the web, so if you make your score php script send an image, you can pass the parameters in the url when you load the image with the active picture object. I did this once and it worked OK

I was going to ask this too because the website I'm making in MMF2 flash. Like a contact page...Typing in your name, email, and the body in there, clicking a button and it would immediately send to my email.

This can all be done with php, email sending that is.

And in fact that's how others who use flash do it as well. Their swf sends a message to a php script.

a quick google got me this:

Thanks! Bookmarking it, I'll have to try it out soon!

Also, this is probably a stupid question, but how would I run PHP script in MMF?

Re: How do I send an email via mmf2? thanks!

I don't have PHP experience (I want to learn it though), but I imagine one way to do it would be to have MMF2 open up the PHP script in a hidden internal browser (ActiveX with IE?) with a variable passed onto the script. The variable in this case being the message body. So for instance.

    blah.com/test.php?=[Message body goes here]

I could be entirely wrong though. As I said, I have no PHP experience, just a wild guess.
