Update for Install Creator :

Standard Version
Pro Version

- Fix: when retrieving the install directory from a INI file, the default install directory was not correct if the INI file didn't exist.
- Fix: the install program could fail with a "data error" in a rare case (if your installer installs more than 2 versions and a file is identical in the first 2 versions and different in the other versions, and the second version contains files that are not installed by the first version or reciprocally).

Hello Yves!
I receive a "trojan back door" alert from AVG 2011 just after compiled an exe using this build 37 Standard Version.
Please note that I never received a similar warning before, using build 31 and creating any kind of exe...
I re-installed build 31 and compiled the same exe without any warning...

May you help me to understand where the trouble is and what can I do? Many thanks in advance!

Hmm, I've just tested an installer on Virus Total and it doesn't report any false positive. So maybe it's specific to your installer? (or Virustotal haven't the latest update of AVG)

You should submit your file as false positive to AVG from the interface of AVG (there must be a "Submit to AVG" option somewhere in AVG, probably in the quarantine).

Maybe I wasn't clear explaning the problem.

I used the last build to create an "exe" installation file that is quite large and made by several other files: this is an installation for a track in rFactor and more than 90 Mb, so it is impossible to send it to AVG from the quarantine panel.

I can try to create a very small exe to duplicate the virus alert and then I'll post here again.

Well Yves, this is the procedure I followed...

1. again downloaded the build 37 and installed it
2. created and exe starting from a little txt file (500kb the txt, 200kb the exe)
3. just I go to the directory containing the exe, immediately the AVG 2011 stops me says "Trojan BackDoor Ircbot.NPS" into the exe file!

Please note the icon related to the exe file is not the Install Creator exe usual one, but the windows generic one (No idea if this can help you)

Please also note that the "false positive" service currently is not available from AVG, at least the Italian link so I have no way to send the file to them.

And using build 31 on same file there is no infection...

Where is the problem? It is really strange what is happening, but I cannot share an exe file made using the new build...

ahhh, one more thing... I was trying to use this build to see if the "famous" error 21FC that several people find exploding the exes made by Install Creator was solved!

Have you tried to submit this test file to AVG from the quarantine? (or from anywhere else, I don't know AVG) Please do it. I've just submitted another installer again to virustotal and AVG doesn't report anything.
