    Easing object (beta1)

The Easing object helps you to smoothly move objects from one position to another using mathematical functions. Supports Ease-In, Ease-Out, Ease-In-Out and Ease-Out-In.

    Has the following effects:
Linear, quadratic, cubic, quart, quint, sine, exponential, circular, back, elastic and bounce.

    Download - Example file

You can move your objects over either an amount of milliseconds or event loops. Milliseconds are completely independent of the amount of frames per second your game runs at while event loops are not.

I put a great deal of effort into making this as simple to use as possible so I made a custom action dialog for the 'Move object' action to better help you visualize how the move will progress.

The X-axis represents the time from the start of the movement to the end of the movement.
The Y-axis represents how far the object will have moved at the given time.

Flash version will come in the next beta but I just wanted to have it tested in the public before I do that. Maybe there are issues or feature requests that would be easier to add now than later

Please test and tell me what you think

    Re: Easing object (beta1)

This is one of the best objects I've ever seen. The functionality is just mind blowing. I'm sure there will be lots of people who will appreciate it. Thanks for this.

The menus with the function preview rule, but it would be cool if everything could done dynamically via expressions. For engines etc.!

Also, it would be nice if you could separate the formulas for X and Y, for example to make an object bounce up while going to the right.

    Re: Easing object (beta1)

    found a tiny bug.

when changing the easing mode to 'Ease OutIn' I got this message:

"Error unknown method number" in the action

    Re: Easing object (beta1)

Great extension, reminds me on the flash transition tweens.
Can't reproduce the "Error unknown method number", 'Ease OutIn' works fine here.
What does the parameter mean in the GetAmplitude/Period/Overshoot-expressions:
    [color:#3333FF]GetAmplitude( "Easing Object", >amplitude<)[/color]
When i set it to the fixed number of the stopped object, it returns 1, when set to any other number /fixed no. of moving object the application crashes.
Changing the easing options by expression would be great.
