    That's only because that line goes off into the distance. Look at something vertical, like the street lamps. They are fine.

    hrmm but wouldn't that mean that depth implies a rotation factor? Its pretty useless an effect without depth :0

    The spacing between the red and blue images gives the depth. If the object is flat and vertical, the spacing will be the same over the whole object, but you can still have different objects at different depths by adjusting the spacing on each object.

    This idea is great but doesn't seem work well. I have a red/blue glasses.
    Instead of a red/blue image offset, i look a gray/gray offset... without 3d effect.

    Yeah. pretty useless as you can't judge depth in a single 2d image. This would work better with paralax layers in a scrolly 'cause you can setup different shader values for each layer of depth.

    Good idea! I have no idea how to do that but as long as it solves the issue and someone can easily code that into the shader.

    I guess the effect demonstrated with the beatles picture was to demonstrate the way how the individual eyes rotate to focus on specific object.

    When you think of two individual eye balls, they are not just spaced from each other, but also angled differently to focus in specific object. Try for example to focus on your finger while moving it close and then far again.

    This is the effect used in newest 3d movies to direct the viewers focus to specific events and objects.

    i just discovered this shader, I tried it with my 3d glasses but it doesn't work very good, there some update about it? It seems a very interesting idea, I think it's a pity that it is not implemented.
