    Hey guys,..remember me? I'm a little rusty...

Hey guys, very long time, no see!
The folks over at the Official Transcendence Forums stole me away for a while, but now I have some spare time on my hands, I decided to crank open MMF2 again...

I'm trying to create a game that uses as much randomness as possible, particularly when creating enemies.

Is it possible to randomnly pick one of a group of enemies and then create it? I'm a bit rusty, so I don't remember.

Under "Create an object" there is no option to create a group.

My enemies belong to Group.Enemy, if that helps.

    Thanks for any help!

There is no create group option, you're right. But you could do this easily by first setting a variable to a random number (between 1 and the number of different enemies there are) and then compare that number in events to create a different enemy depending on the number.

So "if randomvariable = 1 then create Group.Enemy (skeleton), if randomvariable = 2 then create Group.Enemy (zombie)" etc.

It would just require one event for each different monster you have. I dunno if this is the most efficient way of doing it, but it's one way.

I had considered this, but it was my least favored option as it used extra coding.

    Thanks for the reply though!

Alternatively you could make all monsters the same object (just using a different animation). Whether this is a good idea or not depends on the game.
