Alterable Values for the String Object

Would it be possible to give the String Object the Alterable Values almost all objects have?

It would be very helpful when working with (moving) duplicates which have strings attached to them.

couldnt you just make an active object, and manipulate the variables in it, and associate it to the string your working with?

That is what i will often do also, you can just add hidden actives for quick alterable value storage or use a list or array etc in the same way also. I wonder why counters and strings don't have them included also though.

If you really wanted to you could use the text in the string and use that like alterable values but it might not be worth it

Or you could just use the Value Add object...

Re: Alterable Values for the String Object

Thanks for the replies, but I need the alterable strings for the player names and there is no possibility to differentiate the strings in another way.

The Value Add object should do what I want, although its more work for me . Thank you very much for the advice!

Hope it is stable so far and works with HWA...

You can use active system box object, it has values and flags.
