Didn't someone say the same applies for Flash as Vitalize, so you wouldn't need to include the logo in commercial flash games? Don't quote me on this, but I think I remember someone from the admins saying so.

On the other hand, I'm pretty sure most sponsors won't mind the logo (especially in the title screen or somewhere) and it helps spread CT's products

No. You need the logo. Vitalize was normally non-commercial (IIRC) therefore not very many logos were used (or none)

"Are there any applications that donít have to include the "Created with Multimedia Fusion 2" logo?
Yes. You donít have to include the logo:

    ...

if your application is being distributed through the Internet in Vitalize file format (.ccn)"

So, you don't need the logo in Vitalize. Maybe someone can confirm if this also applies to flash or not?

I assume it's because Vitalize was Clickteam's own plugin, so was quite good advertising on its own without you needing to include the logo.

I am not sure why is such a big deal adding their logo in the intro. There is obviusly some more functionality using mmf2 developer, but not needing to put a logo doesn't seem to me as a reason to buy developer over standard. It's not like their logo will affect in any way your game appeal or gameplay.

It will if you want to get your game sponsored.

Can you elaborate, why would the logo be a problem if you want your game sponsored? I v seen games with multiple logos...

A lot of sponsors don't like any dev branding whatsoever and any that is in there will have to be negotiated on a case-by-case basis. The chances of you getting your own logo AND the CT logo are remote i'd say!

Well, you could add the Logo in the credits or in the end of the game.

I bet the sponsor won't play the game until the ending.

PandaExplosion, these sponsors are spending hundreds of dollars in what is essentially a risk/reward business, you can bet they'll play your game through multiple times. The last game I sponsored was really just an arcade game, you could survive for about 6 or 7 minutes at most. My sponsor played my game for almost three hours over the course of a few days, to find any bugs or things they wanted to change. That might just be my experience, but I could see myself doing the same thing if I were running such a fragile business.
