Please don't take offense when I say that everything you did with the object is incorrect.

First, I recommend using the XLua object instead, it's more powerful and more stable than the Lua object. XLua comes with several basic examples you can look at to see how the object is used, and what valid Lua code looks like when used in MMF. (In your file, you recursively called "say" when I think you meant to call the different, MMF function instead. The names must be distinct.)
