    Re: [Early Beta]Flint Particle Engine

Two requests would be a expression to get the current particle count and also a way to destroy all the current particles.

I am thinking more like 'after pressing spacebar destroy all' etc rather than a destroy zone but i don't think setting up a zone allows that. I tried to destroy the object also but that did not work either so something like this would be quite useful.

With the main library you can also use images and SWF but i didn't see any way to do this. If it could use a active, image or external file etc that would be really cool but i am guessing that would be more complex to do in a extension.

After testing this though it's really cool, i have got some great results and also ported some of my original AS3 particle setups i made. Thanks for all your great extensions.

    Thanks, Atom.

I will look into the expressions.

Stephen, this is yet another answer to our needs, and I appreciate your work!

Will we have the ability to do things like this: http://flintparticles.org/examples/logo-firework ?

Is there any way to preview it in normal MMF2 runtime? I'm getting a black screen with the examples until exporting to SWF. This makes testing slow and tedious.

Note: I am running the previous Flash Exporter release due to its compatibility with Mochi preloader.

@Tuna: Thanks for the kind words. I might add the ability to use Images/Actives in a future update, but I can't promise anything right now, as I am very busy.

@Ryan: There is no way to preview it without exporting it to Flash, as the engine is not available for C++.

Not unless there is a standard version made also but since this is a library it means it would then need porting to C++ from AS3.

I have used this library before with regular AS3 and the process is the same with that as you still need to build it before you can see the changes. It is much faster with MMF2 flash still because you are working with actions rather than typing out lines of code. There is now a new build and run button in MMF2 which makes the process a bit faster though.

Thanks Atom, I finally found the Build & Run button... I didn't realise the new MM2 beta didn't update HWA. This should speed things up a bit.

    Re: [Early Beta]Flint Particle Engine

In order to get a better understanding of this extension, I am writing some documentation on each aspect, but it seems to be taking forever.

I am writing as fast as I can, so hopefully it will be done today.
