After using couple of times particles in my game FPS drops drastically. Despite fact that I'm using lifetime and age functions.

    Check out my example: http://tecbug.pl/pub/flinttest.mfa

    1. Open file
    2. Build and run
    3. Click on the screen about 20 times - see FPS dropping down?

What is wrong in my example?
    Hi.

You are creating a new renderer every time the left mouse is clicked. This is extremely heavy and unneeded. I fixed your example slightly to make the renderer created at the start of the frame, and then you just blast the particles when the user clicks the mouse.

But in your example mouse coordinates are checked only on the beginning of frame, so it doesn't change during game.
I'd like to blast particles in different places (eg. as sparks after collision - between 2 objects) - is it possible?

Just set the emitter position to the mouse in an always event, or set the position anytime you want to change it.

    Re: [Early Beta]Flint Particle Engine

I've tried on couple different methods.

    Take a look:
    http://tecbug.pl/pub/flinttest3.mfa
    http://tecbug.pl/pub/flinttest4.mfa
    http://tecbug.pl/pub/flinttest5.mfa

flinttest3 looks almost like it should look, but it seems that mouse x and y is always added rather than replaced.
So if i'm holding mouse at 10x,10y, only first sparks will be shot from 10,10 - another will be shot from 20,20 another 30,30 and so on.
Also I found out that if I stop emitter and start it again it looks well.
    Check out example: http://tecbug.pl/pub/flinttest3stop.mfa

The flinttest3 is close to what you want.

Just move the DiscZone to your start of frame event, and set the particle position to the x and y mouse when you click the button.

    Re: [Early Beta]Flint Particle Engine

So, to have two different particle effects happen at the same time, I would need to use two different Flint objects, right? Or is there a more elegant solution?

No, that is how you do it. The extension is optimized specifically for that reason.
