MMF 2, will it run on a netbook?

I want to run MMF 2 off my netbook so I can program at work on the sly
Would MMF2 run on a netbook?

Heres the specs:

Considering I had a external cd drive to install the program, would this work?

Yes!

We run it on Netbooks at tradeshows to show people it doesn't take a very expensive computer to use it. (and these are old first gen netbooks)

It might not be the fastest environment when you start working with large graphics and video files but you can get some work done with it.

So basically -- If windows runs on it -- MMF will run on it.

Yeah, it works perfectly on my netbook (incl. all HWA features).
The only real issue is screen resolution - the interface is *very* cramped at 1024x600, so you'll be wanting to connect to a monitor or TV whenever possible.

btw: You can install it using a virtual drive (eg. Daemon tools lite), instead of buying an external optical drive.

IIRC you can install it by copying the contents of the CD. I used an external drive when I finally put MMF2 on my netbook, and it runs really well (to be expected really, MMF2 has its roots in some very old software).
