Hi, I would like to have a "Cave Story" camera in my game.

The camera is always ahead of the player "Running" in front of him.

    Here is the example

    Re: Cave story camera

Have your camera be set to an object that is not the player, and have that object travel in front of the player. In the simplest implementation, you could just have that camera object have a built in ball movement, and always be 'looking at' a position relative to the player. If your player is facing left, it can be at (-100,0) to the player, and when moving right at (100,0) to the player.

In a more robust version, you can have it set according to some value to always be at a location from the player, the value which shifts as you move from left to right or so- ie "if player is moving left but the value was above 0, or if the player is moving right but the value is below 0, increase/decrease it rapidly, and if they're moving but its already below/above 0, increase it slowly, capping off at a value, and position it from the player according to that value"

    Re: Cave story camera

Finally did it the "robust" way, took me all day ._.

I used colisors to stop the camera from moving, and I could do the Smoothness I wanted.

    Thanks for the help ^^
