Uninstaler affected by change of drive letter? icp

    Hi all,

Quick question really; if you run an installer and install a set of files to a drive letter of say "E"; but the drive letter then changes to say "G" (i.e. you switch off an external source or reboot it causing it's letter to change due to computer management). Will the uninstaller.exe uninstall all files installed on the drive (even though the drives letter has changed to G)?

    Thanks in advance,

PS: Used most recent build of ICP

The uninstaller uses the current directory, so yes it should work even if you move the files to another folder. Except for files installed to a folder different from the install folder.

Try it if you want to check. Install your program to a folder, and then rename the folder and run the uninstaller.

Hi Yves, my question was more about the path changing rather than the folder name (i.e. the drive letter for which the files are installed).

Did test it and it worked after changing the name of the drive (it was an external drive which it was being installed to).

    Thanks Pete 8)
