Help! making a notes journal.

Well as many of you may know there are several games in where you find notes in the way and then you store those in some kind of journal like in silent hill, so how can I make a list with names in which I click in a line and then a paragraph is displayed?

Note: i want to make a list with transparent background and that gets sorted by the order in which I found the notes,

the easiest way for this would be to have a text file that you append the name to when you meet them. You then have your journal on another frame and load the text file at the start of the frame into a list object. Whilst you can't make the list object transparent you can change the background colour to match it's surroundings.

You then get it to load a specific paragraph when you select a name from the list.
