Question about Framerate and changing controlls

    I have two questions:

1: There is an option to change the frame rate in the properties Runtime Options. It is set at 50 by default, but is there any reason not to crank it up to say 60 or even higher? It runs much smoother in my opinion at 60fps, but is there a reason its set to 50 by default? Why not have 100fps?

    2. Is there any easier way to change the controlls for your caracter then doing a condition? If i want to use the WSDA keys instead of the arrowkeys for example..

Re: Question about Framerate and changing controlls

From my understanding, the FPS determines how many game loops run per second. So cranking it up to 100 would do more harm than good if the computer running the game couldn't keep up.

Most computer monitors are running at around 60 to 75 Hz, meaning anything faster than that won't be picked up anyway... I think?

I think it's at 50 by default because it's lower than the typical refresh rate of a computer monitor, so it's safe to assume that the game will run as fast as possible without skipping frames.

I could be totally wrong though, but that's what I've picked up.

As for controls, you can change those in the application properties. Just open it up and then click on the player box that you want to change the controls for.

Hello, fist, the frame rate i dont think that it can damage or something like, but i think is because it consumens less resources from your computer, i have texted it whit 500 fps and nothin happens, just some lags, i always use it at 75 yo 80, And about the controls, in the game properties, in the "run time" tab there is an option called "default controls" there you can change the controls, bye.

Ok thanks! Is it possible to bind two keys to the same move? i would like so the player can both use the arrow keys AND the WSDA keys to move.
