moving actives, or backdrops... or other stuff :)

Hey guys, I'm having a problem with moving around my characters. It didn't used to be like this, but i think i accidently edited one of my settings or something and now i have this problem. Well, here it is: whenever I try to drag my characters around, instead of moving one pixel at a time it moves about twenty, this means I cant place my characters exactly where i want them. I hope I explained this ok, yeah as you can imagine Im not too updated on "multimedia fusion 2 vocabulary" but thanks for helping.

You probably enabled the Snap to Grid settings. There are three little grid setting buttons on the frame editor toolbar up top, by the 100% zoom dropbox. They are "Grid Settings", "Make the grid visible as little red dots", and "Snap objects to the grid".

It's a useful tool for any tile based game or making level layouts, ect. The buttons toggle on and off, or you can just use the "Grid Settings" button.

If you don't have the toolbar enabled, for whatever reason, then the settings can also be found under "View" in the main menu toolbar.

Obveously, they only affect the Frame Editor(that's the one with your level displayed in it where you place things).

    Hope this helps.

if you have your object selected you can also move it pixel by pixel using the arrow keys on your keyboard.
