Hi all,

I am having nightmares over getting a work around to the Windows 7 Autorun feature being disabled.

I am trying to get a USB hard drive (once it has been connected) to open up a HTML file named "index.html" which is on the main root of the drive.

Now I got this to work on XP using a Autorun.bat file and getting the autorun.inf file to run the batch file ... this works fine on XP. However on Windows 7 it doesn't at all.

Autorun.bat file:
@echo LOADING STAR TREK THEATRE ...
@start index.htm
@cls
@exit
Autorun.inf file:
[autorun]
ShellExecute=index.htm
open=autorun.bat
icon=enterpriseD.ico
action=Run Star Trek Theatre
lable=Run Star Trek Theatre
UseAutoPlay=1
shell\lost=Run Star Trek Theatre
shell\lost\command=autorun.bat
I have used these sources for aid:
