    Link to a sponsor

    Hi,

How exactly can we link to any sponsor by using open url?
Where should I set it so the when we click on the icon, the sponsor website can be shown?

    Thank you

Did you see this thread already: http://www.clickteam.com/epicenter/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=224473

Currently there is not a foolproof way to do this in MMF2. You can try to open an URL with the Flash Player object, but depending on the browser and computer, it may or may not work.

    Re: Link to a sponsor

    Yes, I've seen it before.

But what I want to ask is where is the exactly flash player object and how we open it.
I don't very familiar with this because I'm very new in using mmf =D

    Thank you

You can find the Flash Player object from MMF2; just insert a new object to your application frame, similarly to adding active objects, backgrounds, etc. You should see the Flash Player object appearing in the object selection window if you have the MMF2 flash exporter installed.

Yes, I've found it. Thank you very much ^^
Is the flash player object the one with the red box?
What should I do next to connect it with the sponsor logo?

    Re: Link to a sponsor

That's the one. You can open an URL by specifying the action for the Flash Player object in the Event editor and building the application to swf. If you have a sponsor logo, you can place it to your application frame as an active object or background and then make an event like: user clicks active/zone --> open url.

Some browsers/systems may not open the URL, though, so be prepared for your sponsor cancelling the whole deal and claiming refund if they notice this bug.

    Re: Link to a sponsor

Thank you very much for your information! =D
    It's really helped.

I've read the thread you've shown me before, and it looks like there are some trouble in it.
Is that any other way to make it possible to do besides using the flash player object?

    One thread says:

Just replace "google.com" by your url in the actioncript (into the fla) and export it with this name : test.swf

If you want, replace the url of the "test.swf" in the google.mfa

In my application, i check if the mouse is over an active object, and i put the swf created by flash at x and y of the mouse. If the user clic, a new window is created with the url in test.swf !

It's a solution since until clickteam resolve the problem !

I've tried to opened the one with opening a new window but it failed because my browser prevented pop up window.
Can we see the its .mfa file?

    Thank you
