    Drag and Drop Files

Just about every application now has the capability to drag and drop files. In Winzip you drag a file in to an archive and it adds the file to the archive. To add media files to burn a CD you can just drag and drop the file and it adds that file to the list of files to be burned.

I know of the list and list view objects in MM2 but is there a way to implement something like what I described? When a person drags a file on top of the list it would add that file to the list?

    Thanks.

I understand the second condition but the first condition, "Files have been dropped" I'm a little lost on. What object are you getting that condition from?

    Re: Drag and Drop Files

    Hi StephenL,

when i "Drag n' Drop" Files from the Windows-Explorer to the MMF-Window, then i get the "+" to drop the Files. But when i realease the Mousebutton to "drop" the Files, nothing happens. The Files are not getting added to the List-Object. I built the App, but then same problem.

could this be related to some "security features" of Win 7 (Win Vista)? Or could "Kaspersky Pure" (Anti-Virus-Software) block the Files from beeing dropped?
I' m somewhat out of clues about this paricular problem. Should i try with the "DragnDrop-Object"?

Thanks for all your efforts and greets

    Re: Drag and Drop Files

    Hi StephenL,

i' ve found out what was stopping the App from working correctly.

If i run MMF2Dev "as Administrator", then it won' t work. I disabled the "Run as Administrator"-Option and now it works.

I was not aware that MMF2Dev shouldn' t be run as Administrator.

Thanks in Advance and Greets from

    Re: Drag and Drop Files

If an application is run as admin you can only drop files onto it from a folder that was opened as admin.

    It's a security thing.
