Application Paused On Help File Open

When I go to open the help file on an application I create it brings up a dialog box saying "Application paused" with a continue button in it. Is there a way I can disable that? There really is no need to pause the application when it's opening an external file.

    Thanks.

Why don't you use an extension to open the file rather than the default helpfile feature?
You could then put a custom entry in your dropdown menu, test whether it is clicked in your events and if it is you open the file using maybe the Sphax Filefolder extension. I would think that would do the trick.

I don't know if you can rewire the standard helpfile feature itself the way you need.

Yes, you can intercept the menu command and use for example the Open URL fonction of the Vitalize! Plugin object to open the CHM file.

If I use that method, though, won't users have to have the Vitalize plugin installed in their browser?

I've got it working. Just done an event for when a user clicks on the Contents menubar for it to use the File object. Have it set to open an application with the path of Apppath$+"help.chm."
