    My application crashes WHEN PLAYING SAMPLES!?

    Well, I checked it several times, and there is no doubt; playing samples causes my MMF2 application to crash. This is what happens:

    Menu Screen -> Jumping to another frame -> Play and Loop Sample -> CRASH

    Otherwise:

    Menu Screen -> Jumping to another frame -> Play and Loop MIDI -> Works fine.

    --------------------

    The sample files are not big(maybe about 4 MB and about 1 minute length) so please tell me what the heck is going on, and the most important thing: How do I fix this?

    So, is it on the start of the new frame being jumped to?

    I am no tech but the first thing I would try:
    1.test the samples in a frame before you jump - both timed and event triggered (is it the sample?)
    2. a delay on the new frame. Something like: timer is greater than = play sample (is it something about the jump? assuming you are using "start of frame" as the trigger)
    3. play sample on event (something about the trigger)

    just a few thoughts

    Try uploading one of the samples, perhaps it's caused by an incompatibility between MMF2 and something about the sample itself?

    Well, it works if the game is opened for about 30 seconds, and THEN I load the sample. It works.

    BUT!! when the game is opened freshly and I jump to the frame -> crash.

    However, I converted the samples to a low-size .ogg file and now they work. I still wanna know why it was crashing though.

    Any sample or this one sample?

    Can you upload the sample and the MFA file to see if it happens to other people?

    If the sample works in MMF then it is more likely something else you are doing in the early part of the level.

    Jeff's suggest is the only way to help debug further
