    Tom Schreiber - Test Reports

    Monday:
    -Installed XNA Game Studio 4.0
    -Applied for Creator's Club membership. Hopefully I will get it soon so I can connect to my 360.

    Tuesday:
    - Got an initial test up and running on my 360. Quite an amazing experience, I must say.
    - Noticed that HDTV screen boundaries force you to leave a perimeter of dead space (maybe 16 pixels). Not sure if this is tv specific or not.
    - No bugs found (that haven't been reported by others) with my initial tests.

    Thursday:
    - Converted an existing project from MMF2 over to XNA. I needed to replace all my Character Image Objects to Counters. For some reason, one of the Character Image Objects crashes the MMF runtime when I try to delete it. All the other CI objects deleted without any problems. I'm sending the mfa to Francois so he can see the bug.
    - Once I find a way to remove the one remaining CI object, I will attempt to export the game to XNA.

    - If Counters are the only option for embedding an image font into an XNA project, I would like to request that the ability to justify (left/center/right) the Counter's text be added to MMF.

    Saturday:
    - Finished copy/pasting all the contents of my project file to a new MMF file. This was a workaround for the crash I was getting from the unsupported object I was trying to delete from my project file.

    - I am now getting a crash in Visual Studio when running my game on the 360. It says the following:

    An unhandled exception of type 'System.NullReferenceException' occurred in blackhole_XNA.exe

    The debugger highlights the following line:

    if (hoPtr.roa.anim_Exist(CAnim.ANIMID_DISAPPEAR))

    I am not sure what is happening since this occurs the moment I load the main game frame from the title screen frame. There also seems to be a fastloop (that creates a particle effect) that is getting triggered for no reason as the game initializes.

    I can provide my file if someone in Clickteam can help me solve this issue. I just didn't want to post it publicly at this time.

    Sorry I was on vacation for almost 2 weeks. I should be able to get back to serious development this week.

    Francois: Did you ever debug the Blackhole game to figure out what was going haywire?
