    Can't remove Active Picture Object

I want to port a large scale project to Flash, but can't build the SWF because an APO remains in the Frame Editor's object list. Tried everything, there's no reference to the APO, I always reopened the MFA after trying to get rid of it, nothing helps.

Can't simply copy/paste Objects and events to a new frame, because there are many objects and in the Frame Editor they're organized in folders.

In another thread I learned that deleting "Create Object" events of unrelated objects helps, that's right, but I have many dozens of these events and can't figure out which ones cause the trouble. Tests only showed it's definitely not a single event.

I'm still working with build 249, but it looks like this issue hasn't been fixed by the latest build. Already spent a few hours with experiments and gathering information about this, is there any (simple!please!) solution I missed?

You need to delete ALL instances of the object from the frame editor, and remove ALL actions where the object is created.
    That's the only way.

Sure, but this APO just doesn't care
There's no instance in Frame Editor and no related code.

Make an active and replace the APO with it, then delete the active. See if that works.

Good idea, tried this with a new APO (can't use Actives here), but still no success

Maybe send the MFA file over to Yves so he can take a look and see why its stuck.

Re: Can't remove Active Picture Object

In a worst case scenario of very rare mfa corruption, you can clean wipe your entire project by transplanting it. Create a new frame, copy and paste in all objects from the frame editor (selecting "don't copy code"), then copy/paste all code into the new frame's event editor. Then deleted the old frame. It might take some roughing out to make sure everything is congruent, but if it wasn't terribly complicated you might pull it off in under a minute. Just be wary of any lingering problems that might create- make sure to adjust any "jump to frame" events or whatever else might be changed by the huge transplant.

I think in all my years I've only had to do this once with one project

Re: Can't remove Active Picture Object

I had to do what Pixelthief mentioned before with a project but I moved it over to MMF2 HWA beta and it was still unstable back then so I ended up frequently getting active objects that would crash MMF if I tried deleting them.

Re: Can't remove Active Picture Object

Is there a good way of copying the objects that belong to the frame (ie. appear in the object list) but don't actually sit in the frame editor main window, or do you just get them individually from the application tree?
