    Ask about Skeletal or Bone 2D Animation

    Greetings!
    I want to find some plugin for MMF2 to make bone or skeletal
    2d animation for game NPC and Enemies with different body parts.
    Just for cool smoothing animation.
    Is there a chance to find it?

    I don't think there's such a thing as "bones" for 2D graphics unless you want animations of bones themselves.

    If you're talking about a tutorial to spriting animations I know many, but if you're talking about a sort of 'wire frame for 2d sprites' tool, I know that some exists but I can't name them off hand. In fact I just made one for myself last week.

    You would have to build your own engine inside MMF2 incorporating all the separate pieces (bones) and restructure them. Quite achievable with Box2D...

    If you went as far as being able to produce an engine that works like this and create a framework for it, you could be onto something rather big imo...

    Re: Ask about Skeletal or Bone 2D Animation

    Well I didn't intend this as anything but my own personal use, but if you want to take a look at it;

    https://sites.google.com/site/claniraq02/Kinematics.mfa?attredirects=0&d=1

    You'll need a whole hodge bodge of extensions and its in HWA I think. The controls are very esoteric (hey I wasn't planning on posting this tool);

    Set up a folder in the same directory called "GFX", and in that folder, put a folder for each project you want to work on. For example;

    Appfolder/GFX/Projectname

    Then hit "new project" button, type in that project's name, and it will automatically load any image files in that folder (.png format). So make sure to load the projectname folder with all the images. Then you can drag and drop images from the bottom bar onto the drawing area with left click.

    Middle Click = Select Node (on the red squares)
    Right Click = Position Node (once selected)
    Left Click = Rotate Node (once selected)

    Right clicking a node onto another node attaches it to it.
    A/S/W/D = Resize node by 10% in Left/Down/Up/Right
    Left/Right/Up/Down Arrow = Rotate node to those cardinal directions
    Enter = Export an image
    And you can right click on a node in the toolbar to set its hot spot (applies to all instances of that node on the drawing area)

    you can drag the bottom right corner of the drawing area to resize it.

    If I remember correctly, I read somewhere on the forum that hierarchy linked sprites will be a feature in MMF3.
    In the meantime this tutorial might help. I have not tried it.

    Re: Ask about Skeletal or Bone 2D Animation

    Well if all you need it for is animation, there should be some programs out there that let you do that and then you can just do your animation in the program, save the animation sequence as images then import those into MMF2. So you wouldn't be doing it inside of MMF2, but you could import the output from whatever program you are using.

    And then how do you define dynamic hit/limb points with ragdoll physics for example...?
