    Overlapping

Do I HAVE to use a ForEach loop for every single if object is overlapping object event line? I wasn't using it and I had if an enemy was overlapping a projectile and the projectile's flag 1 was on then to destroy the enemy, but then enemies who shot the same projectile at the same time of the overlapping collision were also destroyed when the projectile that had flag 1 on had overlapped another enemy. I have flag one turn on if the player fires that projectile. I have to use overlapping another object because I have built in collision detectors in my enemy animations.

You shouldn't have to use Foreach if you have overlap conditions. I can't really understand what you're saying (probably my fault for staying up too late) but if the problem is friendly fire I'd suggest using two different bullet types.

Corlen, if it is friendly fire as RickyRombo says, I have an Friendly Fire example on my website. I have not looked at for a while, but you may be able to use it.

    Re: Overlapping

    Let me clarify a bit.

If flag 1 is on it was fired by the player. I have the following code:

    If enemy overlaps projectile
If projectile flag 1 is on
    Then destroy enemy

But it seems to ignore the if flag 1 is on condition because enemies overlapping projectiles with flag 1 off are also destroyed when that projectile with flag 1 on is overlapping an enemy at the same time.

I fixed this by having a ForEach loop in the above code and having the ForEach loop start only for enemies overlapping group.bullets which every projectile is placed inside of, but I was wondering if I HAD to use a ForEach loop for every single overlapping condition of this type.

I HAVE to have the objects in that order in the overlapping condition as I said because I have the enemies using built in collision detectors inside of their animations.

Can you upload a cut-down example of the problem?

    Re: Overlapping

OK I made this quick example that has the same problem as my game. Watch as the "player" object fires a "projectile" object and it hits an "enemy" object but all the "enemy" objects are destroyed.

Bear in mind as I said, the "enemy overlaps projectile" HAS to be in that order for my built in collision detectors in the enemy animations to work in my game. I don't have built in collision detectors in this example but yeah this still demonstrates the problem.
