    MMF2 HWA, D3D and Shaders question

    Good afternoon.

    I'm on my way to start writing my first extension for the MMF2, and I have several questions. I didn't find answers neither on this forum nor using Google.
    1. As far as I know latest version of MMF2 (R251) is HWA and it is using D3D. So, the first question is: can I somehow get the IDirect3dDevice, that MMF2 uses, for purposes of my extension? Or maybe any other ways to get an advantages of D3D (for example, using different blending modes)?
    2. My extension will be used for manipulating with images, so the second question is: is there any way to use effects in my extension?

    and yeah, I totally forgot about the third question.
    3. Is there any way to blit the rotated image directly to the primary (visible) surface at specified position without making a temporary surface?
    I would be very thankful to get answers to these questions

    Unfortuantely you can't really intereact with D3D too well with the SDK. I was hoping that we would get direct access to D3D features but as far as I know this won't happen until MMF3 (even if then).

    Extension development stopped being friendly with the explosion of runtimes.

    There is no HWA SDK (As far as i know) but one of the Clickteam developers Yves said he would give information to extension developers that requested it.

    I have read HWA will be merged with the standard version sometime but i don't know if that is true or not. If it is though there might be changes to the SDK to go with that possibly.
