    Player defined controls

    Hey guys, i was just thinking about this so i dont have any experimentation with it yet, but what would be a good starting point to allow the player to assign the keys they want to control the character? i may just leave the arrow keys for movement, but i would like to give the option to use any keys they choose for all the other functions. I was thinking it may involve assigning a seperate set of alterable values to the main character (which is a global object) to when on the options menu the player assigns what they want and it would set the alterable value to that specific key set. Does that make any sense or is there an easier way to go about that?
