    Re: iOS Extension SDK

    What license is the SDK licensed under (including RuntimeIPhone)? The files doesn't specify anything explicitly, it seems.

    Re: iOS Extension SDK

    You have the have the corresponding MFX in the extension directory.
    License : well, it is copyright Clickteam. You are right, we should add a license in our SDKs.

    Re: iOS Extension SDK

    Francois, yeah, of course, but under what terms?

    Also, it would be neat to see C wrappers for the SDK so people that aren't comfortable with Objective-C can still do stuff

    I'd also add...

    Local PUSH notifications and the ability to set the text in them. (Important for any social style game, things with timers etc)

    The ability to prompt the player to rate the game, and allow them to rate the game officially. (Important to get those ratings in the app store to get more players)

    In app purchases linked to the app store. (purchase coins to spend in game, remove ads, etc) (Important for anyone wanting to go down the freemium route)

    Re: iOS Extension SDK

    The first two would be nice! Maybe someone can code a simple extension using the Appirator library for rating games. It's a matter of including the Appirator code in your xCode project and adding the following code to your app's delegate class (which I'm assuming is locked inside the encrypted cci file )

    Code:
    // import the Appirater class
    #import "Appirater.h"

    @implementation MyAppDelegate
    - (BOOL)application:(UIApplication *)application didFinishLaunchingWithOptions:(NSDictionary *)launchOptions {
        // all your app’s startup code
        // …

        // call the Appirater class
        [Appirater appLaunched];

        return YES;
    }

    @end

    In app purchases are already in the runtime via the iOS Store object.

    Re: iOS Extension SDK

    I have the same question as AyreGuitar about how to produce the .mfx file. Following the directions in the SDK pdf I've only been able to produce a .ext file, so my little test extension won't show up in MMF, but maybe I'm just missing something in the directions?

    I've posted a detailed version of this question in the Extension Development forum. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Re: iOS Extension SDK

    You have to use the C++ SDK to produce the mfx file. It should be somewhere in the download area (sorry I do not really know)

    Re: iOS Extension SDK

    Thanks Francois!
    The only link I've found is in this post by Yves in 2006:
    MMF2 SDK

    Which gives this link: http://www.clickteam.com/webftp/files/mmf2/Exts/MMF2SDK.zip

    Anyone know if there's a newer version (Yves says this doesn't support transitions)
