    Re: Documentation

I haven't heard anything, but the videos at the top of the sub forum are really good, and are probably loads better than any written documentation. And then there is Jamie's "Stack" post illustrating how the stack functions work. Finally, LB has made a filesending example among some other examples that people could use.

Thanks RickyRombo. I know about all those, but I've seen the author on the forums and just thought...

    Re: Documentation

Ah I knew I missed one.

If Jamie WERE to be making documentation, I hope it would be for EDIF

Anyways, I think he's much too busy with Android at the moment.

    Re: Documentation

I had told Jamie about the file and sent it to him - I was going to let Jamie release the help file when he wants - with the next build probably, and I can rewrite the code to match the build.
Annoyingly, due to the changes in actions/conditions/expressions, I'd have to write 2 help files if I released now, one beta 18, one build 17, so users don't get confused with the parameters that aren't there.
The help file was also written...exhaustively. And the editor somehow blew up after I compiled it.
If Jamie thinks my Lacewing help file should be released, he can post in this topic with the link

    On another note, for examples.
I had written a Youtube video demonstrating making a chatroom in 10 minutes... it was quite shoddily made and I took much more care with a written tutorial - mainly because I didn't have to rush

Anyway, here's the links to the tutorial files:
    PDF, MFA, EXE.
Be warned, I wrote the PDF with a comedic fashion

    Re: Documentation

Thanks SortaCore, and in IMHO, written documentation is far better than video any day, for me at least.

    Re: Documentation

I feel like I'm getting pretty comfortable with Lacewing now... is there anything in particular you're wanting to know, or just a help file in general?

Any examples anyone wants to see?
