    online highscores

    I was following David Newtons' tutorial on online-highscores, and it went fine right up to the point where he starts to use Moosocket.
    I'm a noob when it comes to PHP, but the tutorial was quite easy to follow, but now I can't finish it.
    I've got everything set up like in the tutorial, and my scripts work, but now I have to stop because I'm clueless on how to make MMF2 interact with the scripts without Moosocket.
    Is there another tutorial on this subject (for flash), or if there's another way of doing this, please point me in the right direction.
    Any help would be welcome

    Yeah well, the reason I'm trying to get this to work is to be not so depended on Mochi.

    Yes, I've been saying I should update that tutorial for several hundred years now - at the time, MooSock was the way to do it, but it was rapidly replaced by the Live Receiver and now the Get object.

    It might actually be better to remove it, now...

    New problem. I'm using Jeff's examples now, and it works like a charm, but only one time.
    I added another button that once you submit the highscore you restart the current frame.
    Now the first time I run the frame everything is displayed correctly, but when I restart the frame, all I get is that the first alterable string is set to 'online'.

    If anyone wants to take a look at what I'm talking about, here's Jeff's tutorial files I've been using :

    Just add a line:
    Upon pressing "space bar" -> Restart current frame

    Then when you press the space bar, all highscores are gone.

    How can I stop it from doing that?

    Instead of Restarting the current frame, try jumping to it. Or better yet, don't restart the current frame?

    Both restarting the frame and jump to frame has the same effect.
    I've also tried it with jumping to another frame first, and then back again, but with the the same result.
    I'd really like to know what is causing this, so I can avoid it in the future.


    Edit:: I just checked if it works ok when I restart the application, and it does. But it's not really a solution, 'cause then I have to drag the player back to the start screen every time he wants to play again.
