    UPDATED

    Turns out the problem was Flash's security and a conflict with that and MMF2. You have to set an event listener within the extension. This extension now is nearly identical to StephenL's Flash Text Files object.

    Re: ScreenCapture

    Hi,
    I test it with no result. I think i made bad script.
    I made that :
    Start of frame > add eventlistener "image"
    keyboard > screencapture
    save image "image.png"
    In the directory of the swf there is no image.
    Can you telle me what i made wrong ?
    Many thanks !

    Re: ScreenCapture

    Try:

    On Mouse Clicked
    -> Set Filename to "myfilename.png"
    -> Add eventlistener "mouseUp"

    [X] Repeat while mouse key is pressed
    -> Remove event listener "mouseUp"

    Flash requires the mouse or a button to save things to user's computers. You can't use a keyboard key

    The only types of event listeners are "mouseUp" and "mouseDown"

    You can take the picture whenever you like, but you can't save it in anything other than the mouse listener.

    Re: ScreenCapture

    This extension works great and is very useful. Thanks!

    What this extension really needs is the ability to save the file to the server. I know that's probably not something Flash is capable of itself, but if there was a way to get the file as Base64, so that the string can be sent to a PHP script and pieced together, that would be even more useful. Anyone else agree?
