On Pressing a Key > FN (For Laptops)

Is there any way to detect when someone has pressed or is holding the FN Key on laptops, i want to make a little shortcut app using the FN button and some keys that are not binded to it just to load up a few websites and other apps.

Try the Key Object, it has the ability to get any keys being pressed.

Can the Key Object over ride the FN keys used by windows?

I don't believe this is possible. Even if you look at remapping your keyboard, you can't change Fn. I don't believe it is a real key, like the others are.

Yes the Function key is not a real key at all and there is no way* to detect it being pressed.

This allows the keyboard to emulate a full-sized keyboard, so that specialised keymaps do not need to be created; the operating system can use standard keymaps designed for a full-sized keyboard. Because the operating system has no notion of the Fn key, the key can not be remapped in software, unlike all other standard keyboard keys.
[size:8pt]*It could be done by having the user point their webcam at it and then using tracking software to watch for the key being pressed. Or you could provide instructions to the user on how to take apart and modify their keyboard, computer, operating system, etc. to be compatible with your game/program. [/size]
