    MMF2 Unicode

I need to create a small iOS app for a client. The client is Korean and therefore needs the app translatable to Korean.

I have MMF2 Dev (not unicode) and the iOS addon. But I understand the iOS addon needs the HWA options of the now incorporated Standard/HWA of MMF2Dev. So does it still work with MMF2 Unicode (which I understand is still Standard alone)? If so, how do I go about cross-grading to the Unicode version? Or, do I even need the unicode version to do this translation for iOS?

Yes I think you will need the Unicode version. You can try the normal version and see if it works anyway.

The Unicode version is not a HWA version. It works with the iOS exporter but you cannot use at the same time an ink effect (add, subtract, invert) and a RGB or alpha coefficient. The semi-transparency is a separate ink effect, like the non-HWA version. I think that's the only difference. Note: after installing the Unicode module you'll have to install the patch of the build 252.

Great, thanks for this info, Yves. It doesn't sound as drastic as I thought it would be.
