    Javis Jones - Test Reports

    Hi Francois!


    I've ran into a bug:


    StickLeftH( "XBOX Gamepad", 1) -- When the stick is press all the way to the left it returns positive 100 instead of negative 100

    StickRightH( "XBOX Gamepad", 1) -- Reports the same as above. When stick is pressed all the way to the left, it returns positive 100 instead of negative 100

    Another thing worth noting, is almost all of the buttons on the 360 controller are covered except for the Left and Right Trigger buttons. Is this going to be added later? (Hopefully too with full 0-100 numerical range!)

    Yes they are! In the expression menu, Triggers / Get position of left(right) trigger.
    Returns a number from 0 to 100

    Another thing I've noticed is if that the value of both the Left & Right analog sticks and for both X & Y values each, are UNDER 27, it will return 0. This causes a snapping/jumping when calling these values.

    I should point out that this is happening on PC, it is fine on the 360 itself! Sorry Francois. I hope that wasn't a bother.

    This has been corrected.
    There is a minimal value for sticks that Microsoft want use to respect. I cant change that.

    Here's another niggly bug, but not game related, per se.


    When you do a build for XNA and if you have an extension in your app/game that isn't supported by the exporter, it shows an error for the Flash exporter, or at least mentions the flash exporter and not XNA exporter. Here is the message:


    "Impossible to save the SWF file: the SWF version of the following extensions is missing:

    UNSUPPORTED EXTENSION NAME HERE

    Install these extensions and then try again."

    Having a Combo Box in the frame at runtime (PC & XBox), causes the frame background color to be white, when it is not set to white.

    I have tried to put a combo box on one frame, changed the color of the frame, and ran on Windows and XBOX : no change in the color of the frame.
    Would you have an example of this please?
