How would I have DLLs that I load latch on to the instance of Lacewing.dll that I have statically linked to?

After doing some more research I have to say that reading strings from received binary is totally messed up... I'm getting lots of ASCII instead of actual characters and I'm getting different results with loading the strings into different extensions. The String Object loads up to 4 characters, then the whole text turns into random ASCII, AssArray usually returns empty string and the Edit Box always returns some ASCII...

Are you grabbing the right binary index for the string? Anything other than the absolute correct binary index and you will get gibberish in return.

Strange, it seems that if the lacewing client is connected to a site (like levdev), then I disconnect and host locally, and try to connect to that (localhost), it does not connect at all. Is this a known bug?

That's odd - what's the exact error message?

Did you check "Compress the runtime" in the application properties or not?

There shouldn't be any external dependencies.

Hello Jamie, thanks for chiming in.

This is the error message I get...
Title: Error
Msg: Cannot load lacewingServer.mfx. This object might need an external program or library not yet installed.

I got it working on Windows Server but the issue was with Windows Web Server making it even odder but what do I know.

I do not have the Compress the runtime checked but I did try it that way when it did not work. What way do you recommend when using lacewing?

Ah, it seems it's dependent on the MSVC 2008 runtime.

This will be fixed in the next build, but meanwhile you can work around it by copying the LacewingServer.mfx from Extensions/ to Data/Runtime/ (the former doesn't have the dependency).
