Animations don't seem to work, most of the time.

There are several animations that I've made that don't work, while others that are exactly the same (other than the actual picture) do work. They show the first frame, and then don't play anything else.

I have it set to this for all of them, and want to switch between them (it's a small, medium, and large form of the player) when you gather enough items. Like I said, it works in every way, other than actually playing the animation. The medium size animation does actually work properly, while the other two don't.

    Lower Speed: 15
    Higher Speed: 20
    Repeat: 0
    Back to: 1
    Loop is checked.

(I'm using change animation to change it, btw. I've tried everything else that I could think of, and this is the only one that even sort of worked.)

Most animations happen to coincide with other events. For instance, walking and running trigger upon movement via the built in movements. Falling and Jumping via the platforming movement, Appearing and Disappearing with create/destroy events... etc

Change animation actually pauses the animation, sadly. If you can, experiment with using "Restore animation sequence/speed" or others upon changing animation in that way. If I had TGF2 NG with me at the moment I could tell you the exact method but I don't.

See if this will open in the Newgrounds Edition

    View MFA

Like Ricky said some of the animations are controlled with the built in movements so you might need to make your own animation names.

(Right click over the list of animations and click new)

Hi i just tested this mfa and you may need to change the settings as i had issues.

    just in case.

right click on each line, a new window will open, choose edit now press the key you wish to use.

on my keyboard the number pad keys are identified differently.

end, down , pgn down, left arrow.

    hope this helps.
