    Resizing & Aspect Ratios

I am having a problem with my application resizing on different devices. I don't mind it being blown up or shrunk down, but I don't like it being stretched vertically or horizontally. I know I can tell the application to "Keep Screen Ratio," but then there are ugly black bars on either side of the app.

So for example, I have an app that is 480x800, and when running on a 320x480 display, it resizes to 288x480, and centers the app in the screen (ugly black bars on either side). I would like to be able to tell it to resize to fit the WIDTH, and keep that aspect ratio vertially (so 320x533), and then let the user scroll up and down to view the rest of the App (or I would program it to squish the pieces of the interface closer together vertically).

    Does that make sense?

    Re: Resizing & Aspect Ratios

If it is running on a 320x480 screen, why is the dimensions 288x480?

    Re: Resizing & Aspect Ratios

Because it resizes itself down from 480x800, and makes it so all of the application is showing. If I elected to STRETCH it by NOT keeping the Screen Ratio, it would match the 320x480, but the content on the screen would be stretched horizontally. I do not want it to be stretched, but I also do not want bars on either side of the screen when it resizes.

    Re: Resizing & Aspect Ratios

If I understand it correctly, it either has to be stretched, to fit to the entire screen, or it isnt, which brings up black bars.

Have you tried setting the frame width/height to the height/width of the phone? I for example make my game with the standard 640x480, but I resize it (not using the tick/checkbox built in) in a way where I can select which objects should be dilated in which direction
