    I do not know if the textures are scaled down on a smaller display. I would say no, but Andos could confirm?

    The textures themselves will not be scaled down but the entire display will so it will fit the older devices just fine.
    We do however have a mipmapping system in place that automatically downcales textures for better performance and image quality - only when needed though. You will never notice this though as it is completely automatic

    I'm facing a bit of confusion regarding resolution, so thought I'd add my question to this thread. I'm creating a game with the iPad 3 in mind since that has the largest display. The problem I'm facing is, the resolution is ridiculously large at 2048 x 1536 with 264 dpi. Should I be creating my game at that resolution, or should I be designing it with the iPad 2's 1040 x 768 resolution? I'm not creating a pixel game, it's vector graphics, so I want it all to be nice and smooth with no jaggies.
