    Smile iOS Shake Extension

This extension is provided as-is without warranty. You are free to use it to your heart's content at your own risk.

First of all, download the Zip file from here:

    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/32296241/Sha...for%20MMF2.zip

Once downloaded extract the zip file and follow these instructions:

    1. Copy Shake.mfx into your MMF2 Program folder under Extensions
    2. Copy Shake.ext to your MMF2 Program folder under Data\Runtime\iPhone
    3. If you plan to create a PC version of your App copy Shake.mfx into your MMF2 Program folder under Data\Runtime.

There is a sample project called Shake Test.mfa that you can test with.

    One very important thing:

On Windows and in the iOS Simulator shake events DO NOT OCCUR. The only way to test this is on a real device. This is not my limitation, it's the Simulator's.

If you have any questions or suggestions for how it could be improved feel free to PM me.

This should technically work in all iPhones, iPods that run iOS, iPads, etc. supported by MMF2 exported content as I'm not relying on the Shake APIs to detect shaking. I am actually detecting motion and converting that to G forces to determine if a shake is occurring.

It would be good if we could shake the actual window by grabbing it and moving it around the screen vigorously :-D

There's a sample file somewhere in the forums, I cannot find the one with the demo file, that shows how to do just what you're saying. Basically it simply adjusts the X,Y position of everything. Here's something that does something similar.

Shake Extension has been updated to address an issue when you leave the frame. Should be rock solid now. Thanks Francois for taking the time to find this bug. The link above is and will always be valid.
