Earlier today, I was designing an active object when I realized that didn't have the graphic ability to do what I wanted (Which was a simple fade to & from). Solution? I created cloned the object, colored the cloned object, and told the colored object to fade in and out at a specified interval. (Basically I had 2 objects, one in monochrome and one colored. The colored one was on top. The colored one was also slowly fading in and out).
Now I just had a brilliant idea for a game, but it involves taking that principle from merely cloning one active object and applying it to an entire layer (and all active objects on it).
Now the method doesn't have to necessarily be the same, but I want at least a similar effect.
Any ideas on how this could be done?
