    Pmo troubles

    hey,

I set the pmo to a sprite, and actual sprite, not the triangle thing that I've been using to learn with, and for some reason he sticks to a backdrop going straight up and down like a wall, and slowly slides up it, lol.

not sure what's causing it...they're imported images..

When I draw a sprite weird shaped in the editor it doesn't do that, but for some reason this sprite of imported images does..

The images are png, and has transparent sports in it..I'm wondering if that's causing it?

It's highly advised you use a square or other solid shape as the actual moving object, and then attach your animated sprite to that object instead to avoid weird background collisions. When an animation clips a background, the PMO considers this an overlap and tries to raise the object to be standing on a surface, however it also treats it as a ceiling or wall which stops the object, resulting in the really slow 'raising' effect.

If you need help on how to use a placeholder type object with the PMO, check out the two examples on my website. I have beginner and advanced PMO tutorial files, which cover how to do many things with the PMO.

    Good luck!

okay, so I got the box set up, and it goes invisible like it should. The walk animation is set up ...but when I start walking my character moves to a weird position...how do I make it so that the sprite is always where it should be in the box...I have his hot spot in the center, as well as collision boxes in the center...I have always - set position of player relative to box, and put the little square site thing in the center of the collision box...but he doesn't seem to stay in it when I start walking, lol.
