    limit to lines of code?

Is there a limit to the number of lines of code you can use in MMF2?

Also, is there a limit to the number of lines of code for flash or any of the other exporters?

    thx

    20,000 events per frame.

Check the limits in Marv's Manual.

So flash and all of the exporters can handled 20k lines of code?
Great! And to think I was getting nervous about 600 lines lol

When I want to build something rock solid reliable, I tend to stay away from qualifyers, loops, and other things like that.
It seems to make the end product less quirky. I also find that doing straight code for something that could use a loop makes the program run faster.
In addition, sometimes I spend too much time trying to figure out a clever solution, when I could have just coded it. Does turn the eyes red though.

Well, my basic AI program had 1000 lines of code, and he can calculate math to 2000 decimal places, connect to a AI network, send files/chat messages on said network, chat on IRC (including Gwerdy), play media files, load unlimited data files, update himself, etc... 600 lines for what you've got is excellent.
If you want optimised code, my company runs the UltraCode service, which will check your code for any optimisations, and will only charge if they find plenty. And the price is very cheap. Send to ultracode@dark-wire.com.

You could have 20,000 events per frame, however if you were actually talking about lines of code i am guessing you could have far more than that if you are using one of the coding/scripting objects like XLua, Python or DotNet also.

Hey, how difficult would it be to raise this 20,000 line of code limit to something like 40 or 64k lines of code if it was necessary in a future patch?
I've got a project that's already toting 5900 events, and is on track for something around 12000+ by the time it is finished. But in the offchance I hit 20k, would it be salvageable without cutting content? I don't anticipate this to be a real problem, but its good to know that if I ever reached it, whether it would be plausible to just raise the cap.

5900 events?! Surely, surely there are ways to optimise...

One thing, use groups. Theoretically only, you could have 20,000 groups and 20,000 lines of code for each group. A coder would have to be insane to try that.
