Help with saving previous high scores

I am currently making a game where time is the score for the game. i use counters for the seconds and hundredths of seconds and everything works great in game. but when i go to the score frame i can have it display the current time from the round just played. however i cannot seem to save the previous times. what i want is a way to save the best time achieved and load it when the score frame starts. i tried using the high score object but that wont handle decimals. also i dont need to save a lot of scores just the one thats the best. and the key here is i need the decimal places to be saved and loaded as well. if someone could help me out here that would be great. also i am still using the demo as i used to own the product but lost my disk when i got a new computer, but i will be purchasing again.

    thanks

If you have your purchase information, you can request a new disk and have CT look up your serial number, but it's up to you. I would suggest making an INI file and saving the previous scores that way. If you use the INI object, your scores will remain in the game even after closing, so the player doesn't lose everything the moment they exit.

however if i use an ini i dont believe it saves decimals either. because as i was messing around with it i would save a number of say 8.45. i then had another command that would load the value of the ini. although when i used this command it would only show the whole number of 8.

You could just save it as a string, and convert it to a value when you load with str$() and val()
