    Surface Object frame capture

How can I use the surface object to screen capture a section of a frame and save to the clipboard?

I have tried the screen capture object but many of the objects are not showing in the capture.

With the surface object I set the blit source position, dimension, and flag to 1 and then save the image to clipboard as in the blit example file but when I paste the image into a word document it is all black.

Any help or an example file using the surface object as a screen capture would be greatly appreciated.... or another work around.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

Did you actually "blit" anything? To capture the frame itself, you will "Blit onto Surface > External > Background". If this doesn't work (even if you didn't set any blit region etc., which should just blit everything), you might be using HWA? The feature is not compatible with HWA because of some limitations.

If you do not use the HWA display modes the object works fine.
Working as fast as I can on Fusion 3

Yeah. The merging doesn't change anything, as long as the display mode is the same. Would be nice if I could add this feature, though...

Maybe Andos or Yves could help you sort that out, if you could make the Surface Object work with HWA and blit with HLSL effects applied that would be amazing.
